Your inventory has more slots but is mainly "weight-based".Check out or list of the 7 Best Mods to Overhaul Your 7 Days to Die Experience No custom-POI's less additional weapons, vehicles and enemys, no NPC's but the ability to upgrade both your weapon and MOD's into a higher tier. I haven't played UL for some month so my information may be outdated but essentially its a ligher version in all aspects. and while sometimes annoying they are also rewarding. Lastly rebirth has bandits and events like bandit-raids or. Where rebirth can be challenging with the abilitys the zombies get, in DF you can crank up the horde-sizes to a degree that they can overrun you.īoth Mods have more weapons ( and vehicles ) though DF-Weapon-progression is more "futuristic" with railgun's and Laserweapon's while Rebirth adds to weapon-tiers with more "realistic" weapons. I personally consider rebirth more challenging in that regard due to the special-mobs however that doesn't mean DF isn't challenging. DF has more but those are Compo-pack-Poi's ( so some are a bit glitchy and not balanced ) while rebirth has the zztong(?) less POI's but very well balanced.Įnemy-wise both also have their own addition on base-line-zombies and later special mobs that force you to adapt. NPC-Wise in DF you have some melee-npcs you can only kill with dots running around waking up mobs or selling you stuff ( i consider them more annoying than useful ) while in rebirth you can actually hire npc's ( making money more valuable again ) with melee OR range-weapon as party-member, place them for base-defence or send them mining.īoth mod's have POI-Additions and OLDER POis in them. ( You have more and different crafting-stations in both btw ). In DF on the other hand your levels and skillpoints ( which you can craft books for ) are important but at the beginning you have different progression-path either through skillpoints, class-quests or stuff you loot. You also have no Skillpoints but you have to buy perk-books, meaning that money is more valuable. Leveling-wise, except the level-requirements for the augur every level is more detrimental since mobs will level as well while most your entire progression not depending on your player-level but skill-attribute-levels. For example if you find a level 14 AK and a Level Level 10 you can merge them in your workbench to a higher tier. While in DF your itemisation is more direct. Rebirth has no item-quality so the stats on the weapons and armor are random. Itemization-wise they are totally different as well. Rebirth has a lot of QoL-Improvements that DF does not have. ( DF adds a lot of Food and Drinkrecipes as well ) So in rebirth you have to make some hard choices.įarming in Rebirth is more restrictive then in DF but less important. In DF for example you can learn every class, in rebirth you can only learn two and the second only after you maxed out your first ( except if you go berserker). Both have their good and their bad points though. I personally would say either Darkness Falls or Rebirth. however if its about helping to decide what could be for you. I don't think anyone could tell you what is best, considering that "what is best" is very subjective.
